Dear friends and supporters of The Goodness Web,
What do new data from a grantee and new data on trends in philanthropy have in common?
Our Newest Corporate Partnership

The Goodness Web is excited to welcome MGM Resorts International into our Web as our newest corporate partner! To kick off this partnership, TGW’s CEO Celine Coggins and grantee leaders Stuart Ablon (Think:Kids) and Katya Hancock (Young Futures) were invited to share their expertise in an engaging fireside chat. We are grateful to Stephanie Glanzer, Josh Hwa, and the entire MGM team for this opportunity.

Grantee Spotlight
TGW is proud to support these organizations, among others, with major grants.
Young Futures announced their newest grantee cohort, selected from their recent “Call Me Maybe” funding challenge. Six innovators were selected for their groundbreaking, youth-driven approaches that address how schools nationwide are grappling with how to manage phones in classrooms — balancing distractions, safety, and equity. These solutions exemplify how trusting students as partners leads to more effective, sustainable solutions. Through the Young Futures Academy, they’ll scale their impact with mentorship, resources, and peer collaboration. We look forward to seeing the great impact of these innovators over the coming months!
Path Forward shared big news for mental health care access: as of July 1, Colorado and Tennessee are the latest states to approve Medicaid reimbursement for the Collaborative Care Model, bringing the national total to 36 states. As we know, Collaborative Care is one of the most evidence-based ways to deliver mental health care in primary care settings; however, a lack of Medicaid reimbursement has hindered its adoption. That barrier is now lower in two more states.
The Jed Foundation released a powerful statement on the proposed nearly $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts and its potential effects on vital youth mental health supports, calling on lawmakers to “uphold the bipartisan commitment to youth mental health made in recent years and remove harmful Medicaid restrictions from the final version of the bill.” They emphasize that “Medicaid is a lifeline for American families, currently providing health care coverage for nearly half of all U.S. children.”
Relatedly, Inseparable launched their “Medicaid is Mental Health” campaign to communicate with key members of Congress the inextricable relationship between Medicaid and mental health. As we know, most mental health challenges start young — before age 24 — and kids today are facing more mental health challenges than ever. Currently, Medicaid pays for 25% of all mental health care and 40% of all substance use treatment in America, and therefore helps millions of young people get care early, stay in school, land jobs, and build their lives.
